This is the Careers for Me
verison that goes the most in depth. Like the print version, it is
colorful with fun graphics, easy-to-read and very easy to follow
with little help required from an administrator. Users are asked to
click on descriptions of activities and subjects that they not only
enjoy, but also those in which they consider themselves skilled.
From there they will get their results which shows which Careers for
Me career cluster had the highest number of activities that were
checked off. Adding in other attributes, such as earnings needs and
educational and training desires, the student will get a
personalized list of careers recommended for them to research. In addition to the research screens which walk the student through the process of learning about specific careers, the students will answer SCANS related questions which help them identify and improve their skills. And the option of writing a resume using My First Resume (see page 7) is included in this program! Here the student is walked through the process of writing a resume. For computers that are hooked up to the internet, the user also has the option of linking to My First Resume on http://www.careerkids.com/resume.html page.
